METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING MOVEMENT OF CRANE

The present invention relates to a method for controlling the movement of a crane and an apparatus for controlling the movement of a crane. The method for controlling the movement of a crane comprises as follows: a step of determining whether or not interfering objects with an interfering height exist when a crane moves along a moving route from a starting point to a target point; a step of setting a first safety height in order for a hoist of the crane to pass over the top of a first interfering object based on the first interfering object with the highest height among the interfering objects; and a step of transmitting control information including the first safety height to the crane in order to lift the hoist up to the first safety height when the crane moves along the moving route from the starting point to the target point. Therefore, the method for controlling the movement of a crane can reduce time required for the crane to lift the hoist and can shorten working hours for work where the crane transports an object, by preventing the hoist to be lifted unnecessarily higher than a height to avoid a collision with the interfering object which exists in the moving route when the crane moves along the moving route from the starting point to the target point.
