APPARATUS AND METHOD OF DETECTING/TRANSMITTING EMERGENCY SITUATION ON PERSONAL DIGITAL TERMINAL

Disclosed is an apparatus for detecting and transmitting an emergency situation based on a personal mobile terminal. The apparatus for detecting and transmitting an emergency situation based on a personal mobile terminal includes: an S-GPS sensor and an A-GPS sensor which is used to detect the current location information of a user; a vibration sensor which is used to detect a vibration amount of a user; a physical button which is arranged to be exposed to the outside; a notification service unit which provides a communication service for a voice message, a text message, and video information; a memory which stores an emergency contact number, the current location information, a vibration threshold of the user, a critical pressing time of the physical button, and an emergency situation message; and a control unit which compares the vibration threshold with the vibration amount detected by the vibration sensor and detects the occurrence of an emergency situation, when the physical button is pressed, and controls the notification service unit to transmit, to the emergency contact number stored in the memory, the emergency situation message stored in the memory together with the current location information of the user provided by one of the S-GPS sensor and the A-GPS sensor, when a pressing state of the physical button exceeds the critical pressing time.
