The mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit which forms an NFC tag and an NFC link based on NFC tagging with the NFC tag and receives the installation information of a specific application through the NFC link; and a control unit which determines whether the specific application is installed if the installation information of the specific application is received, performs a series of operations to install the specific application if the specific application is not installed, and executes the specific application if the specific application is installed.
