SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TRAIN

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system for controlling a train consisting of multiple cars, which is capable of automatically calculating the length of the train based on the number of cars of the train, includes a calculation device for calculating a length of the train. The calculation device comprises: load devices each of which is installed in each car; a power supply unit which supplies a voltage to a circuit made up of the load devices connected to each car; a current detecting unit which detects a current flowing in the circuit; and a control unit which calculates the number of cars of the train using impedance of the load device, the current detected by the current detecting unit, and the voltage applied to the load devices and calculates the length of the train using the number of the cars and the length of the car.
