Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a speed change operating apparatus for a manual transmission which can simplify the speed change operation and improve the performance of the speed change. The speed change operating apparatus according to an embodiment includes a shift lever provided with at an end portion with a shift lever knob operated by a driver; a shift cable connected to the other end of the shift lever at one end portion and operated by movement of the shift lever; a shift lever connected to the other end portion of the shift cable at one end portion and pivoted around the other end by the operation of the shift cable; a control shaft connected to the other end portion of the shift lever and rotated by the pivot movement of the shift lever; a shift finger cam enclosing the outer surface of the control shaft and rotated integrally with the control shaft; and a shift lug operated by rotation of the shift finger cam. The shift finger cam is arranged in plural along a longitudinal direction of the control shaft, and the shift lug is arranged in plural to make a pair with the shift finger cam, so that the speed change is carried out by the interlock of the shift finger cams and the shift lugs.
