The present invention relates to a head position estimating apparatus for estimating the head position of an entity in an image, a head position estimating method thereof, and a computer-readable storage medium. The head position estimating method includes a step for cropping an image object in an image. The image object includes a visual shape about the head of at least one entity. The head position estimating method more includes a step for extracting one or more features from the image object. Afterward, the head position about at least one entity in the image object is determined by using a predefined statistical model and one or more features. The predefined statistical model includes various head poses of at least one entity and pixel values of each pixel of one or more images which indicate the range of the various head poses.
