Zusammenfassung:	The present invention discloses a method for controlling transmission power in a wireless access system that supports an operation in an unlicensed band and an apparatus for the method. More specifically, a method for controlling transmission power of a terminal in a wireless access system that supports a TV white space (TV WS) band comprises the steps of: allocating an available frequency band which is not used by a licensed device from among TV WS bands to a terminal; calculating, if a receiving band of another device exists in a band adjacent to the available frequency band, the maximum transmission power value of the terminal based on a level of interference which will not affect the reception of another device ; and transmitting, to the terminal, transmission power control information for correcting the transmission power of the terminal based on the maximum transmission power value.
