The display apparatus comprises a first display substrate including a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on a first insulating substrate and a second display substrate including common electrodes formed on a second insulating substrate against the first display substrate wherein the circumference of the common electrodes includes a first circumferential section separated from the second insulating substrate.
