Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a method for calculating a weathering index of rock using a surface rebound hardness tester, which is to calculate a weathering index of rock without destroying the surface of the rock. The method measures the surface hardness value and the ultrasonic speed value of construction rock respectively using a surface rebound hardness tester and an ultrasonic measuring device, and calculates a correlation between the measured surface hardness value and the ultrasonic speed value. Through a weathering index and an ultrasonic measuring device generally recognized, the correlation between the measured surface hardness value and the ultrasonic speed value can be applied as a weathering index and a surface hardness value. The method for calculating a weathering index of rock using a surface rebound hardness tester can quantitatively calculate the weathering index of a relevant rock (rock being measured) without destroying the rock. Through the present invention, a non-destructive diagnosis method for stone cultural properties and the data reliability can be obtained using a surface rebound hardness tester, besides weathering degree calculation; a weathering index appropriate for the weathering state of rock regardless of the kinds of rock can be provided without destroying the surface of the rock; cultural heritage such as stone cultural properties can be preserved and managed by variously applying the calculated weathering index according to the weathering degree without destroying the surface of the rock.
