METHOD FOR PROCESSING IMAGE AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS THEREOF

Provided are an image processing method for removing aliasing and an image processing device applying the same. The image processing method receives data information about a polygonal image; determines the position of an interpolation vertex at an external angle of a vertex composing the polygonal image by using the data information about the polygonal image; interpolates an inputted polygon and a space of the polygon composed by the interpolation vertex according to interpolation coefficients; and outputs the interpolated polygonal image. As a result, aliasing can be removed even when the complex polygon is displayed or the size of the image is changed. Also, the amount of computation is reduced by interpolating only primitives to overcome the aliasing rather than the whole inputted image.
