TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER OF DIGITAL MODEMS FOR HIGH FREQUENCY BAND

The present invention relates to a transmitter and a receiver of digital modems for a high frequency band, and more specifically to a transmitter and a receiver of digital modems for high frequency ship communications, which are capable of achieving a data transfer rate of 4,800 bps higher than an existing data transfer rate, by improving methods of modulation, demodulation and error correction codes of the modems. The transmitter and the receiver according to the present invention achieves a data transfer rate of 4,800 bps higher than a data transfer rate of conventional ways by improving methods of modulation, demodulation and error correction codes of the modems for high frequency ship communications, and supports an excellent bit error rate performance and a high data transfer rate while using the same number of channels with the conventional ways, thereby enhancing bandwidth efficiency. Furthermore, it is possible to enhance the bandwidth efficiency more if an encoding method using wider channels and a high-efficiency modulation method are applied together.
