VIRTUAL ARTHROSCOPE SURGERY SIMULATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A virtual arthroscopic surgery simulation apparatus is provided to help a user in practicing a joint surgery close to an actual surgery. CONSTITUTION: A virtual arthroscopic surgery simulation system is formed of a controller (10) and a simulator (20). The controller generates a signal according to a use condition of a user. The simulator forms a three-dimensional image by reflecting the characteristic of an arthroscopic image and performs a virtual arthroscopic by reflecting a virtual action condition of the controller on the three-dimensional image according to the signal generated in the controller. The simulator forms the three-dimensional image based on a two-dimensional image and corrects a defect by extracting the defect from the three-dimensional image. The simulator produces a three-dimensional image which adds volume feeling, real feeling, and a three-dimensional effect by applying texture mapping to the three-dimensional image in which defect correction is performed.
