Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent damage to a data pad by using a halftone mask or a slit mask. CONSTITUTION: A gate line, a gate electrode, and a gate pad are formed on a first substrate. A first insulation layer (120) and an active layer (130) are successively formed in the upper part of the first substrate. A source electrode, a drain electrode, a data line, and a data pad are formed in the upper part of the first insulation layer. A second insulation layer (150) is formed in the upper part of the first insulation layer including the data pad. A photoresist pattern is formed in the upper part of the second insulation layer.
