Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method for controlling the temperature of a glow plug in a closed loop is provided to prevent damage to the glow plug due to overheating and to extend the service life of the glow plug. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the temperature of a glow plug in a closed loop is as follows: a step of measuring a voltage applied to the glow plug and a heating current flowing in the glow plug; a step of calculating a temperature-dependence control variable from the voltage and the heating current using a first calculation rule; a step of calculating a target value of the control variable from a target temperature using a second calculation variable; a step of comparing the control variable with the target value; and a step of changing a pulse-width modulation duty cycle to minimize a deviation between the control variable and the target value.
