CONSTITUTION: An activating method of a fuel cell including an anode, a cathode, and a stack comprises a step of supplying a mixed gas to the cathode while maintaining fuel supply to the anode (S1); a step of applying a load lower than a predetermined load after (S2); a step of stopping the supply of the fuel gas (S3); a step of supplying the mixed gas to the cathode when the voltage of the stack is a predetermined voltage or less (S4); a step of applying a load higher than the predetermined load to the stack (S6).
