CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device (1) includes a light emitting unit (10), a first waterproof unit (20), and a second waterproof unit (30). The light emitting unit includes a light emitting device to emit light. The first waterproof unit surrounds the light emitting unit and waterproofs the light emitting unit. The second waterproof unit waterproofs the gap between the light emitting unit and the first waterproof unit. The light emitting unit includes a light emitting device package in which the light emitting device (11a) is packaged by being mounted on a substrate. The first waterproof unit surrounds the light emitting device package by being mounted on the substrate. A waterproof frame surrounds the side of the light emitting unit based on the direction (L) of the light from the light emitting device.
