APPARATUS AND METHOD IMPROVING PERFORMANCE OF LKAS

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method of improvement of LAKS are provided to enhance the controlling ability of LKAS so that output torque is capable of being obtained when the car is driving forward (during MDPS dead zone section). CONSTITUTION: An apparatus of improvement of LKAS comprises a controlling boost curve (110) and an MDPS controlling part (120). The controlling boost curve generates result torque corresponding to a gain which is already set based on LKAS demanding torque from LKAS. The MDPS controlling part comprises a boost curve (121), decides a controlling value which corresponds to a driving torque when the driving torque is put into according to operating wheel by a driver, calculates result value by overlaying the controlling value and the result torque and makes a direction of the car based on the result value.
