Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An instant messaging service method for providing an announcement message is provided to allow a user to select a specific chat message as an announcement message and display the announcement message in a specific region of a chat window. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal displays a plurality of chat messages (800). The mobile terminal determines a chat message selected by a user among the plurality of chat messages as an announcement message (801). A second display region is positioned at the top end of a first display region. A part of the announcement message is displayed in the second display region. The mobile terminal displays the announcement message in the second display region that is distinguished from the first display region for the plurality of chat messages (802).
