Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: An anti-obesity composition including the extract and fractions of herbal medicine is provided to reduce effectively body weight and body fat without vivotoxin and suppress insulin tolerance, thereby using as medical supplies for prevention and treatment of obesity and health functional food. CONSTITUTION: Gyeongshingangjeehwan18 (GGEx18) is manufactured by mixing ephedrae Herba, laminariae japonicae thallus and rhei Rhizoma in a weight ratio of 10-50%:20-50%:20-50% based on weight of raw material. The GGEx18 is extracted with 50-80% of ethanol and condensed. Fractions are obtained by line separation in which the condensed GGEx18 is gradually separated with dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, butanol and water. The pharmaceutical composition for prevention and treatment of obesity includes the fraction as active ingredient. The fractions are dichloromethane fractions. The fractions are ehtylacetate fraction.
