CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure (130) is formed on a substrate (110). The light emitting structure includes a first semiconductor layer (132), a second semiconductor layer (136), and an active layer (134). A pillar layer (170) including aluminum oxide is formed on the light emitting structure. The pillar layer includes a pillar part (172). A first electrode (150) is formed on the first semiconductor layer which is exposed. A second electrode (160) is formed on the second semiconductor layer.
