APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING TRAIN AND MEATHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A train control system and a train control method thereof are provided to offer the train control information according to the corrected location of the train at the train control information sending time, thereby accurately controlling the train at the exact position. CONSTITUTION: A train control system (100) includes a communication unit (110) which receives the location information of a train, which is periodically sent by an train signal device, and sends the train control information periodically; a train location generating unit (120) which generates the corrected location information by adding a distance value, which is calculated by multiplying the time difference (Δt) between the location information receiving time and the next train control information sending time by the train speed, to the location information; a control information generating unit (130) which generates the train control information including the ATP breakpoint distance using the corrected position information; and a shelter section set up unit (140) which, if the location information is not received from the train within a preset period of time, sets a section in which the train can exist as a shelter section.
