DEVICE, METHOD, AND GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR CONFIGURING RESTRICTED INTERACTION WITH A USER INTERFACE

PURPOSE: A device, a method, and a graphical user interface (GUI) for configuring restricted interaction with a user interface (UI) are provided to for faster, more efficient methods and interfaces, thereby increasing the effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction with such devices. CONSTITUTION: An electronic device comprises a display (340); a touch-sensitive surface; one or more processors (310); a memory (370); and one or more programs. The one or more programs are stored in the memory and executed by the one or more processors. While in an unrestricted interaction mode, the programs detect a first input and enter an interaction configuration mode different from the unrestricted interaction mode in response to the detection of the first input. While in the interaction configuration mode, the programs displays a first UI including a plurality of UI objects on the display, and detect gesture inputs on the touch-sensitive surface. For a respective gesture input detected on the touch-sensitive surface, the programs determine whether one or more user interface objects of the plurality of user interface objects correspond to the respective gesture input.
