POLAROGRAPHIC TYPE RESIDUAL CHLORINE SENSOR

PURPOSE: A polarographic type residual chlorine sensor is provided to stably measure the concentration of residual chlorine for a long term. CONSTITUTION: A polarographic type residual chlorine sensor measures a current flowing between a functional pole (2) and an opposite pole, which are dipped into the liquid to be measured, by oxidation/reduction reactions and measures the concentration of chlorine remained in a liquid to be measured. A conductive material (16) comprising the functional pole is formed into a shape in which the area of a cross section at right angles of an axial direction becomes identical at other positions in the axial direction. The conductive material except an edge surface or both edge surfaces is coated with an insulating material. The edge surface is dipped into the liquid to be measured.
