APPARATUS FOR LATCHING DOOR FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A device for latching the door of a vehicle is provided to obtain stability in a collision by latching the door during a lateral collision and unlatching the door after the collision. CONSTITUTION: A device for latching the door of a vehicle comprises an open lever, a release lever(300), a slit lever(800), an operation lever(500), and an inertia lever(600). The open lever is installed in a base(100) through a hinge pin(220). The release lever is installed in the hinge pin of the open lever and is formed with a first slit(320) to be vertical to the bottom. The slit lever is installed in the base to the top of the release lever and is equipped with a second slit(820). The top end(540) of the operation lever is latched to the second slit. The bottom end(520) of the operation lever is latched to the first slit to vertically slide. The inertia lever is installed in the base through a hinge shaft(620).
