MONITORING SYSTEM FOR CARS

PURPOSE: A vehicle monitoring system is provided to detect display information of a traffic light by using a current sensor installed in a contactless way, thereby reducing installation costs and time. CONSTITUTION: Lamps displaying different colors are installed at one or more traffic lights(107). Current sensors(105-1 to 105-4) detect a current flowing in each lamp. Imaging devices take images of a predetermined region. When the value of a current flowing in a specific current sensor among the current sensors is higher than a predetermined minimum current value, a local controller(101) determines that a specific lamp corresponding to the specific current sensor is turned on, thereby detecting display information of traffic lights.
