THE DRIVER ASSISTANCE DEVICE FOR INDICATING THE HAZARDOUS HORN FROM OTHER VEHICLES AND THE CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: A driver assistance system and a method for controlling the same are provided to prevent vehicle crashes by visually indicating the horn of the other vehicles and lowering the volume of the indoor sound system of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A driver assistance system comprises a horn sensor(100), an indoor sound volume sensor(200), a control unit(300), and a danger indication display unit(400). The horn sensor outputs a signal by sensing the horn of the other vehicles from the external right and left sides of a vehicle. The indoor sound volume sensor outputs a signal by sensing the volume of an indoor sound system of the vehicle. The control unit receives the signals from the horn sensor and indoor sound volume sensor and determines whether the horn of the other vehicles is honked or not. The control unit outputs a danger indication display signal when determining the horn of the other vehicles. The danger indication display unit receives the signal from the control unit and visually indicates a dangerous situation.
