A PARKING ASSISTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A parking assisting system is provided to control a photographing angle of a camera unit according to steering of a vehicle, thereby providing the front or rear view image of the vehicle to a driver. CONSTITUTION: A parking assisting system includes an angle control unit(120) and a distance calculation unit. The angle control unit receives steering angle information of a vehicle obtained by a steering angle sensor(140) of the vehicle, and controls angle of a camera unit(110) according to the steering angle information. The angle control unit controls the camera angle of the camera unit such that the camera unit takes pictures of blind spots limited by the angle of view of a lens of the camera unit. The angle control unit controls the camera angle of the camera unit to a direction that the vehicle is heading according to the steering angle information. The distance calculation unit calculates a distance to an object using an auto-focusing function of the camera unit.
