CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating menopausal symptom contains a Larrea cuneifolia Cav. extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using water, an organic solvent, or a mixture solvent thereof. The menopausal symptom includes hot flashes, osteoporosis, phlebothrombosis, and atrophic vaginitis.
