PURPOSE: A video play device including an additional information providing function is provided to enable a user to receive additional information linked with a corresponding small window by clicking the small window outputted during video playing. CONSTITUTION: When a play unit(10) plays a video, an output unit(20) displays a predetermined logo on a part of a video screen at a predesignated timing of the video. The output unit generates one or more small windows around a video play window. When a user selects a small window through an input unit(30), an additional information providing unit(40) generates an additional information window. The user confirms additional information or the video through the additional information window.
