PURPOSE: A mobile robot, a remote control system of a mobile robot, and a method thereof are provided to allow a user to remotely watch the surroundings around the mobile robot and to rapidly obtain a state of the mobile robot by checking the state in real time. CONSTITUTION: A mobile robot comprises a storing unit, a communicating unit, and a control unit. The storage unit stores a control program driving the mobile robot. The communicating unit receives a control signal from an external terminal device and transmits update information of a control program to the terminal device. The control unit extracts an update command from the control signal and updates the control program according to the update command.
