MOBILE TERMINAL AND CONTROL METHOD THEROF

PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a control method thereof are provided to selectively emit flash according to a state of a subject in a subject recognition mode. CONSTITUTION: A flash(123) is adjacent to one or more cameras. When a subject is existed in a subject recognition mode, a control unit(180) selectively emits the flash based on the state of the recognized subject. The control unit determines the state of the subject based on a distance between the subject and the camera. The control unit increases the amount of the flash according to the distance.
