WIND POWER GENERATOR WITH LOW VOLTAGE RIDE THROUGH

PURPOSE: A wind power generator with a controlling function at low voltage is provided to enhance response speed by storing electrical energy which is generated on the momentary power failure of a system in a super capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A wind power generator(100) with a controlling function at low voltage comprises an electric power inverter(130), a super capacitor(160), and a changeover switch(170). The electric power inverter inverts power which is generated in a generator into a suitable type for supplying to a system. The super capacitor is connected to the electric power inverter. The changeover switch controls the connection state between the electric power inverter and the super capacitor. The electric power inverter comprises AC/DC converter(131), a DC/AC inverter(133), a DC link(132) for connecting the AC/DC converter and DC / AC inverter. The super capacitor is connected to the DC link. The electric power inverter comprises a controller(150) for controlling the operation of the changeover switch. The controller is connectable with the super capacitor. The controller controls the operation of the electric power inverter.
