TERMINAL, IMS SERVER AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING PRESENCE INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A terminal, an IMS(IP multimedia subsystem) server, and a method are provided to provide a terminal for reducing the data traffic of the presence information in the IMS base and the IMS server for sending and receiving the presence information, and a method for sending and receiving the presence information by using the terminal and the IMS server. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(10) for sending and receiving an IMS server and the presence information comprises a IMS core unit(110) which processes an IMS protocol, a directory(130) registering the terminal information in the IMS server, a presence information sending unit(150) sending the presence information of the terminal to the IMS server, a Buddy list unit(170) managing a Buddy list in which Buddys of the terminal are registered, and a presence information control unit(190) designating more than one of the Buddys from the Buddy list and requesting the presence information of the designated Buddys.
