Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A focus controlling device and a projector applying the same is provided to overcome an asymmetric of focus controlling amount by optical characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A focus controlling device comprises a focus control unit(40) and an operating unit(50). The focus control unit is installed at a projecting lens unit to control the focus by rotating lens barrel of a projection lens unit. The operating unit is gear meshed to the focus control unit to provide rotation strength on the focus control unit by installing on the main body of the projector to rectilinear. The focus control unit and the operating unit vary the rotation quantity of the focus control unit to the constant rate liner movement of the operating unit.
