DAMPER HAVING LOCK FUNTIONAL

PURPOSE: A damper having a self-locking function is provided to perform the locking or unlocking function for various kinds of equipment in motion such as a pop-up device including a dish washer or a crane, or a height adjustable chair. CONSTITUTION: A damper having a self-locking function comprises a cylinder(110), a partition wall(120), a gas unit(130), a rod(150), and a control unit(140). The cylinder forms an exterior. The partition wall partitions off the internal space of the cylinder into right and left sides. The gas unit is provided on one side of the partition wall and filled with gas inside. The rod transmits the movement of a gas piston(132) of the gas unit to the outside. The control unit is provided on the other side of the partition wall and limits the movement of the rod. The control unit is provided with an assistant cylinder(160) mounted and fixed in the cylinder; a lock part(210) moving along the rod in the assistant cylinder; and a guiding channel(220) guiding the movement of the lock part. The guiding channel includes an advance channel guiding the lock part moving according to the action of the gas unit; and a retreating channel guiding the lock part which moves along the advance channel to return to the original position.
