METHOD ON SUB IMAGE RETRIEVAL USING LOCAL ALIGNMENT

PURPOSE: A partial image search method using local alignment is provided to efficiently handle an image property change with a simple operation and a small amount of calculation by using a partial image search with the local alignment. CONSTITUTION: A pixel image property value of query and reference images is obtained based on an image property factor. A matrix is generated by using a length of a query image corresponding to the image property value of the query image and a length of a reference image corresponding to the image property value of the reference image. A dot matrix is generated for generating a property point by performing local alignment to the matrix. A straight line to be a corresponding point of an area property domain is extracted from the dot matrix. The corresponding point is matched with the reference image for a partial image domain search.
