Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A separator for secondary batteries capable of blocking short-circuits current and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance safety, quality and power of the secondary batteries. CONSTITUTION: A separator for secondary batteries is formed on a porous separation film material and the surface of the same and includes an inorganic coating layer which is formed with the separation film coating material. The separation film coating material comprises inorganic powder selected from Al2O3, Si3N4, SiO2, ZrO2, ZnO, SiC, CeO2, WC and glass powder, one or more binders selected from polyvinylidene fluoride, polypropylene and polyethylene, and solvent.
