Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A two stage motor, a drive apparatus for an electric vehicle, and a control method thereof are provided to maximize driving efficiency by monitoring road conditions and car speed reduction and selectively supplying current to a stator for high speed low torque and the stator for low speed high torque. CONSTITUTION: A rotor(120) is included in a housing(110) to be ratable. The housing includes a main body(112) and a cover(114) covering an opening of the main body. An internal stator(130) is included inside the rotor. An external stator(140) is included outside the rotor. A motor controller(150) selectively supplies the currents to the internal stator and the external stator.
