Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A composiiton containing oriental medicinal extract and fraction for preventing and treating obesity or diabetes is provided to reduce body weight and body fat and to suppress insulin resistance. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating obesity contains an extract prepared by extracting or fractioning Gyongsingangjihwan 18(GGEx 18) containing Ephedrae Herba, Laminariae japonicae Thallus, and Rhei Rhizoma with organic solvent. The composition contains a dichloromethane layer fraction as an active ingredient. A health functional food for preventing and treating obesity contains sitologically acceptable food additive. The dichloromethane layer fraction contains 0.05-0.3% sennoside A, and 0.5-3% ephedrine.
