Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A reactor core for research with an octagonal chimney is provided to enable an operator to be easily accessed and minimize risks by constituting a nuclear reactor using one kind of nuclear fuel. CONSTITUTION: A nuclear fuel unit(120) comprises a plurality of nuclear fuel element(121) of having the same size. A chimney(110) is formed to surround the nuclear fuel unit. A control rod(123) is included on the top of the nuclear fuel element and controls a nuclear reactor. An irradiation hole block(131) is included between nuclear fuel elements. An irradiation hole(130) is formed passing through the irradiation hole block. A chimney cover opens and closes the top of the chimney.
