Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A lock managing apparatus for a terminal device and a method thereof are provided to lock or conceal a folder or an application which a user does not want to expose to other people, thereby improving security for the folder or the application. CONSTITUTION: A selecting unit(122) supplies an interface for selecting a folder or an application to be locked among applications or folders installed in a terminal device. A locking unit(126) conceals the application or the folder selected by the interface according to manipulation of a user. A unlocking unit(128) displays the concealed application or the folder based on a request of the user. If a new application is installed in the terminal device, the locking unit conceals the new application based on attribute data of the new application.
