Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A channel assignment message transmission method in a multi-carrier wireless communication system is provided to rapidly process the usage state release of using carriers or additional carrier assignment by directly transmitting a TCA(Traffic Channel Assignment) message. CONSTITUTION: A system determines the assignment of additional carriers in an access terminal or the usage state release of the using carrier(300). The system transmits a TCA message to the BTS(Base Transceiver System) of a DRC(Data Rate Control) sync state by using signaling carriers(310). When the BTS of the DRC sync state is not existed, the system selects carriers for transmitting the TCA message(320). The system the TCA message to the selected BTS by using the selected carrier(340).
