Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A portable terminal and control method thereof are provided to enable a user to easily take a photograph of an object in a desired time by minimizing a time difference between a photographing command input time and an actual photographing time. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(180) repeatedly receives high resolution images and low resolution images from a camera unit(121) by responding to a focusing command inputted from a first time. The control unit displays the low resolution images as preview images for objects on a display unit(151). The control unit stores the repeatedly received high resolution images as photo files for one or more objects in a memory unit(160) by responding to a photographing command inputted from a second time.
