Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A portable terminal and control method thereof are provided to enable a user to simply control functions of each external apparatus by using a UI(User Interface) displayed on a screen of a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) communicates with one or more external apparatuses registered in a home network. A display unit(151) displays an UI for syntagmatically controlling functions of each external apparatus and the communication of the external apparatuses. A control unit(180) controls the communication connection of the external apparatuses established by the UI. The control unit controls the operation of the function in the external apparatus.
