Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A scarfing speed control method of a four-side scarfing machine is provided to obtain high surface quality and prevent over-scarfing of slab. CONSTITUTION: A scarfing speed control method of a four-side scarfing machine comprises the steps of: transferring slab at a fixed speed, increasing the transfer speed of the slab to a scarfing available speed by accelerating the slab at a fixed acceleration while transferring the slab, and maintaining the increased transfer speed of the slab. In the first constant-speed step, the slab is preheated. In the second constant-speed step, the scarfing on the slab is controlled by a first controller which controls the rotation of transfer rolls and a second controller which controls the output of a scarging unit.
