Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A hub motor unit for an electric bicycle is provided to simplify a system by assisting foot effort of a driver with one transmission unit for enhancing output properties of a motor and to decrease the number of rotation and the operational torque ranges. CONSTITUTION: A hub motor unit for an electric bicycle comprises a hollow shaft(5), a transmission unit(11), a hub housing(13), a hub cover(15), a motor unit(17), and a transmission control unit(19). The hollow shaft is installed in a bicycle frame. The transmission unit is rotatably installed in the hollow shaft. The hub housing is rotatably installed on the exterior of an input terminal of the transmission unit. The inner circumference of the hub housing is fixed in the output terminal of the transmission unit and the outer circumference thereof is connected to a wheel through spokes. The hub cover is rotatably installed in the hollow shaft to assemble with the hub housing. The motor unit is arranged between the hollow shaft and the input terminal of the transmission unit inside the hub housing to provide power according to control signals through the input terminal. The transmission control unit is arranged on a transmission shaft installed inside the hollow shaft to control the transmission unit.
