3D display system, View mode transition method and shutter glasses with a view mode transition function thereof

PURPOSE: A 3D image display system and a view mode control method thereof are provided to enable a user to selectively watch a 3D image and a 2D image according to a taste of the user. CONSTITUTION: A left eye shutter and a right eye shutter are turned on/off by an interlace method in a first mode. Turn-on of the left eye shutter is synchronized at display timing of a left eye screen. Turn-on of the right eye shutter is synchronized at display timing of a right eye screen. Therefore, a 3D image is provided. The right eye shutter and the left eye shutter are simultaneously turned on/off in a second mode. Turn-on of the right eye shutter is synchronized with turn-on of the left eye shutter at the display timing of the left eye screen or the right eye screen. Therefore, a 2D image is provided.
