Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to obtain large capacity in same volume, by making serial connection of a battery pack possible. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly comprising a positive electrode tap and a negative electrode tap; a can(100) accepting the electrode assembly; an insulation case with a first hole and a second hole in which the positive electrode tap and the negative electrode tap is penetrated through; a protection circuit module electrically connected to the positive electrode tap and the negative electrode tap; and a cap assembly sealing the top opening of the can by being formed on the top of the protection circuit module. The cap assembly comprises a cap plate electrically connected to the protection circuit module, and an electrode terminal inserted into a through-hole formed on the cap plate.
