Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A multimedia system is provided to reduce costs by omitting a back-end part including a hardware decoder of an existing ODD and to use a codec of a platform AV device such as TV or a settop box. CONSTITUTION: An ODD(Optical Disk Drive)(11) outputs digital data which is obtained from an ODD. A digital multimedia signal processing unit(12e) processes a multimedia signal by process of digital data of the ODD through a codec unit(12). A multimedia output unit(12f) outputs a multimedia signal of the digital multimedia signal processing unit.
