Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A portable terminal is provided to enable a user to enable a user to easily grasp a keyboard by enabling the user to use simple input codes. CONSTITUTION: A character input unit changes a hangul input mode into an English input mode. A control unit calculates characters based on the input signal of the character input unit. An integrated input code(301-309) is displayed on a button in the character input unit. A hangul character and an English character are respectively matched with the integrated input code according to the input mode. The hangul character or the English character is displayed on a display unit according to the input mode.
